“Family dysfunction rolls down from generation to generation, like a fire in the woods, taking down everything in its path until one person in one generation has the courage to turn and face the flames” – Terry Real
The family we grew up in is the place where we learned how to communicate, how to feel, and how to get our needs met. I help adults identify and work through family of origin issues to overcome fears, build healthy relationships, and achieve a sense of peace.
Are you experiencing difficulties resolving conflicts, fostering intimacy, and communicating in your relationships?
I believe in a collaborative approach to help couples and families create healthier environments where relationships are valued and grounded in mutual respect and unity. I work to encourage people to develop skills necessary to improve intimacy and harmony.
Is your child struggling or having behavioral issues at school or home?
I have extensive experience working with children between the ages of 4-17 with behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I teach children coping skills, and help develop resiliency.
My approach draws from Relational Life Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Person-Centered Theory, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, and I am trained in Levels 1-3 of Relational Life Therapy.
I specialize in the following areas:
- Children (4+) Counseling
- Behavioral Issues

- Trauma
In addition to clients who are private pay, I am in-network with the following insurance:
