Nicole Service, LISW-CP

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Do you feel that therapy might be useful to you, but are nervous about taking the first step?

I seek to provide a warm, open, accepting environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves without judgment. I incorporate psychoeducation in order to normalize and universalize experiences that may make people feel isolated. It is my believe that the client is the expert on their own experiences.

Are you looking for support and guidance as you navigate recovery form addiction?

I enjoy working with people at all phases of recovery, including pre-contemplation and with the process of starting recovery. Together, we will explore triggers and find healthy coping skills to use instead of falling back on addictive behaviors. Specifically, regarding substance abuse treatment and recognizing current trauma triggers. I will gently challenge clients in order to maintain safety and facilitate recovery.

Have you experienced trauma and are looking for a safe place to process what you’ve been through?

I have worked in Rape Crisis for the past five years. My knowledge in this area gives me a deep level of insight into the after-effects of a traumatic event. Oftentimes, someone who has experienced trauma may have other co-occurring mental health needs; and I am comfortable working with people who have these needs as well. Using evidenced-based practices, we can help decrease your symptoms and work towards your healing.

I specialize in the following areas:

  • Trauma
  • PTSD
  • Substance Abuse
  • Addiction
  • Court Orders
  • Grief and Loss
  • ODD
  • OCD
  • Hoarding
  • Personality Disorder
  • Psychotic Disorder
  • Eating Disorder

In addition to clients who are private-pay, I am currently in-network with the following insurances:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Medicare
  • United Healthcare
