Leah Dixon, LPC-A, NCC
Are you feeling stuck or losing hope that your life will never change?
I will help you identify the cause of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship strain, or trauma symptoms, and work to empower you to build the life you want. Depending on your needs, I can give you tools for emotion regulation, help you overcome negative thought patterns, assist you with identifying your individual values, and help you take action towards creating a more ideal life. I want to meet you where you are and create a safe and warm environment to help facilitate healing.
Does a connected, loving, and safe relationship feel unattainable?
If you are experiencing conflict and relationship issues, I hope to come alongside you as an individual or couple to help you better tap into your emotions and your personal experiences of your relationship. My goal is to guide you to create safety and security. I use Emotion-Focused Therapy, which is an evidence-based couples therapy approach with very positive outcomes, and has shown to last beyond time spent in therapy.
Do circumstances outside of your control make you feel powerless in life?
Often times it feels like life is happening to us. I want to give you a safe space to process your complex circumstances and offer validation to your struggles. I want to help you find hope that you can heal and find peace in your situation.
Past clients would describe me as warm and supportive. I offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to share their authentic self without fear. This environment allows for safety to share your most vulnerable feelings and thoughts leading to personal growth and healing.
My areas of interest are:
- Chronic Illness
- LGBTQ+ Issues
In addition to clients who are private-pay, I am currently in-network with the following insurances:
- Medicaid: Absolute Total Care, Blue Choice, First Choice/Select Health, Healthy Connections, Molina
