What’s your story? Do you feel as though you are defined by your problems? Is it hard to find fulfillment in your life?

If you are looking to share your story (we all have one), I am here to listen and support you through this important chapter. We all experience stress, anxiety, and depression, but it doesn’t have to define who we are. Using mindfulness-informed therapeutic interventions, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, among other evidence-based modalities, we will work together to change your relationship to the challenges that arise and help you feel empowered to “rewrite” your life story for a future that reflects who you are, what you’re capable of, and your life’s purpose.

Are you having a hard time communicating with your child or teen?

Parenting is not for the faint of heart. Cultivating a healthy relationship with your loved one is the key to a happy family life. I will support you through developing improved communication skills to strengthen your bond. As a trained Functional Family Therapist (FFT), I have experience working with at-risk youth ages 10-18, who are experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties. I have provided both individual and family therapy in home settings, while working as a therapist with the Department of Juvenile Justice, as well as outpatient at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Do you have a need for perfection? Are you hard on yourself?

Insecurities can affect us during life transitions, fill us with self-doubt, and get in the way of your relationships, personal and professional success. We will work together to challenge your negative beliefs, improve your self-esteem and self-worth. There’s no one size fits all approach. I provide treatment specific interventions to each individual. I enjoy working with adults, emerging adults, teens and children in the midst of change and uncertainty. This includes supporting clients around gender identity or sexual/romantic orientation, lifestyle changes, new roles in the family dynamic, and career development.

I specialize in the following areas:

  • Anxiety/Depression
  • Trauma/PTSD
  • Children (7+) Counseling
  • Gender Identity
  • Life Transitions

In addition to clients who are private-pay, I am currently in-network with the following insurances:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna

If you have questions or are ready to begin counseling, contact us today.  Don’t continue to feel alone in your struggles, we are here to help.
