Debbie Dechene, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Do you need help to alleviate suffering and let go of past patterns and hurts?

Are there areas of your life you want to improve and unsure how to move forward?

Reaching out for help can be challenging, but can also be very rewarding in the end.

In our work together, I will use proven tools and techniques including cognitive behavioral strategies and brief solution-focused approaches. These interventions will help you improve your problem-solving skills, resilience, and sense of peace and well-being.

Are you a parent struggling to raise your adolescent during the teenage years?

In my work with teens, I understand how tumultuous these years can be and how alone and worried parents feel. My goal is to support your family through this journey and engage with your adolescent so they feel heard and gain skills to manage life’s difficulties.

I enjoy helping the following types of clients:

  • Parents and Teens
  • Couples
  • Families dealing with conflict, depression, anxiety, separation/divorce, grief, stress and anger management
  • I also frequently work with female clients on women’s issues

In addition to clients who are private pay, I am in-network with the following insurances:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (all plans)
  • Cigna
  • Tricare
  • United Healthcare

PREVIOUS CLIENTS’ FEEDBACK

With their permission, here are some experiences of former clients…

Debbie was very calming, I quickly felt comfortable talking to her.

Every pregnancy is different, and sometimes it’s easy to “go back to how things used to be.” However, when it doesn’t, being able to openly discuss the downs make the ups more triumphant. Being able to speak freely, truly is freeing in every sense of the word. I’m forever grateful!

Debbie is such a beautiful person. She was my light when I no longer had one. She listened to what I had to say and never judged me. I went in on the first appointment wanting to end my life, how I am striving to live. Depression is such an ugly, difficult battle, but Debbie gave me the strength and the tools to fight back. I will forever love her and appreciate everything she has done for me.
